STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
|
To illustrate and illuminate the industry at/to applicable State, Federal, Provincial and Municipal levels of Government. |
|
To serve as a "Common Sounding Board" for the interchange and proliferation of both technical and political information, locally, nationally and world wide. |
|
To lobby appropriate government bodies, state, provincial and federal, for a fair say in the allocation of collected tax funds to this industry, including the decision making policies regarding research and development grants. |
|
To assist "authorities having jurisdiction" in the establishment and policing of scrap tire regulations regarding such issues as collection, disposal, recycling, etc. |
|
To serve as a "monitor of the industry" to maintain a high level of integrity and behaviour, particularly amongst the members. |
