Tuesday October 01, 2024 Over the past 30 days The Secondary Commodity Index, which tracks market trends across 11 recycling industry sectors. advanced 2.58%. Scrap Metals rose 4.67%, wastepaper was up 0.68% while recovered plastics increased 1.09%. The Waste to Energy Index advanced 5.27%, Textiles increased 1.23%, and activity in the recovered industrial minerals sector resulted in a positive 0.08%. Precious and exotic metals rose 2.92% and the scrap tire index was up 0.84%. The Municipal Curbside Recycling Index increased 4.37%, Electronic Scrap was up 0.63% and the Automotive Recycling Index rose 4.99%. |
