Sunday September 01, 2024 Over the past 30 days The Secondary Commodity Index, which tracks market trends across 11 recycling industry sectors. advanced 1.56%. Scrap Metals rose 4.00%, wastepaper was up 0.01% while recovered plastics increased 0.55%. The Waste to Energy Index advanced 0.34%, Textiles increased 0.25%, and activity in the recovered industrial minerals sector resulted in a positive 0.10%. Precious and exotic metals fell 0.77% and the scrap tire index was up 1.28%. The Municipal Curbside Recycling Index increased 6.08%, Electronic Scrap was down 0.89% and the Automotive Recycling Index rose 3.41%. |
