Thursday August 01, 2024 Over the past 30 days The Secondary Commodity Index, which tracks market trends across 11 recycling industry sectors. declined 3.09%. Scrap Metals fell 6.14%, wastepaper was up 0.79% while recovered plastics unchanged. The Waste to Energy Index declined 4.39%, Textiles decreased 0.50%, and activity in the recovered industrial minerals sector resulted in a positive 0.07%. Precious and exotic metals fell 0.48% and the scrap tire index was down 0.05%. The Municipal Curbside Recycling Index decreased 2.62%, Electronic Scrap was down 3.02% and the Automotive Recycling Index fell 6.37%. |
