Secondary Commodity Market increased 2.16%

Over the past 30 days The Secondary Commodity Index, which tracks market trends across 11 recycling industry sectors. advanced 2.16%.

Scrap Metals rose 1.68%, wastepaper was up 2.33% while recovered plastics increased 0.93%.

The Waste to Energy Index advanced 3.00%, Textiles decreased 0.45%, and activity in the recovered industrial minerals sector resulted in a positive 0.15%. Precious and exotic metals rose 3.13% and the scrap tire index was up 1.12%.

The Municipal Curbside Recycling Index increased 3.82%, Electronic Scrap was up 3.45% and the Automotive Recycling Index rose 1.39%.
