Become a ROCs Sponsor
A ROCs sponsor is any individual, corporation, company, organization, etc that wishes to provide monetary support
for the advancement of recycling. As a ROCs sponsor you will have the opportunity to directly
impact the rate of recycling by providing your economic support.
RecycleNet has an established program to recognize the hidden economic and environmental impact of recycling.
The Recycling Offset Credits program (ROCs) is a method to measure actual tons of material recycled.
Participants register with The Recycling Offset Credits Program and report their materials recycled.
Now, we can hear you asking yourself “Why do I want to contribute and be a sponsor of The Recycling Offset Credits Program”?
With no monetary gain, no tax deductible receipt what do you get out of contributing to this program ?
And the reason is… Individuals and companies that are recycling and participating in this program are helping to save the
environment TODAY! You will be making a contribution to promote recycling and
directly assist in these recycling efforts.
Recycling is a very important factor to helping our environment and economy both now and for the future.
Recycling Saves Natural Resources - By reusing old materials, the amount of new materials needed is reduced.
Old paper and cardboard can be turned into new products, saving oxygen-producing trees in the process.
Aluminum and other metals can be recycled, lowering the amount of natural resources used to produce new metals.
Recycling Saves Energy - It usually takes less energy to make recycled products.
Recycling Saves Clean Air and Water - In most cases, making products from recycled materials creates less air
pollution and water pollution than making products from virgin materials.
Recycling Saves Landfill Space - When materials are recycled into new products, they don't go into landfills or
incinerators, so landfill space is conserved.
Recycling Saves Money and Creates Jobs - The recycling process creates far more jobs than landfills or incinerators,
and recycling can frequently be the least expensive waste management method for cities and towns.
So contributing to this program will directly assist with these recycling
efforts. Sponsor’s may chose to direct their contribution to a specific geographical region and / or type of material
they would like to help promote the recycling of. The ROCs program provides a direct economic incentive to recycle
materials that may have not otherwise been recycled.
To become a ROCs Sponsor you may contribute any amount you wish to make.
This amount can be paid by check, money order or credit card.
Upon request, a certificate can be issued to you (for a small fee) to acknowledge your contribution.
